Xpress Youth Football & Cheer is a private not-for-profit organization established in 1995. Our organization services young athletes from but not limited to, North Smithfield RI, Blackstone MA, Millville MA, Woonsocket RI, and Smithfield RI. Our commitment is to our players and their families to provide a safe and fun environment while learning the game of football and cheer, but to also teach life lessons to these young athletes to help them grow and become part of a productive society.
With that, Xpress is committed to keeping registration fees affordable to appeal to every family no matter their socioeconomic status. Xpress also provides hardship scholarships to families in need, so their child is never at risk of not playing based on a monetary issue. Our all-volunteer Board of Directors work tirelessly to secure the future of this program for generations to come and we are committed to this endeavor.
To continue our mission and provide opportunities to our young athletes and their families we rely heavily on fundraising efforts and donations. Operational expenses for football & cheer year to year include but is not limited to game day field rentals of $6,000, lighting of $5,000, Indoor Space of $3,000, Banquets of $5,000, player helmet reconditioning of $4,000 and many other expenses related to player safety, coaches training, software fees, insurance etc.
Currently we are looking to raise money to help in the capital purchasing of 140 new football shoulder pads, new player jerseys and pants, emergency medical equipment, player rib pads, and other equipment needed to maintain the integrity of player equipment. These purchases are critical to the future of this program and the players’ safety out on the field.
